Text: Luke 21:28
When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up
your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.
Lift Up Your Heads
When we look around, it’s easy to see the world trembling with fear. There are: wars, disasters, and divisions seem endless. Sometimes, even our own lives feel like they’re falling apart. We see the signs of a broken world and wonder what’s next. In those moments Jesus’ words remind us not to hide in fear, but to lift up our heads in hope. He is coming, not to frighten us, but to finish what He started.
We live in a world that groans under sin’s weight, and we feel that burden daily. We can’t fix it, and we can’t save ourselves. The good news is this: Jesus already has. He paid for our sin, our fear, and our death. When He said, “It is finished,” the end of fear began.
So when the world shakes, we don’t worry, we look up knowing our Savior comes with mercy for those who trust Him. We live faithfully today, not in panic, but in peace. The same Jesus who comes again in glory walks with us now through every storm. The end of this world only means the beginning of forever with Him.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, when the world feels uncertain, lift our heads to You. Help us to live with courage, peace, and faith until You come again. Amen.
Thought for the Day:
When fear rises, lift your head. Your redemption is not far. It is found in Jesus alone.
