What to Expect
👔 What should I wear?
There’s no dress code here. Some come in jeans, others in their Sunday best. God looks at the heart, not the wardrobe. So do we.
🧍♂️ Where do I go when I arrive?
When you walk in, you’ll see a Fellowship Worship Area with a large TV—a comfortable space for those who prefer to avoid stairs. If you’re heading upstairs, ushers will welcome you with a bulletin and helpful directions. Families with children can ask for special children’s bulletins that will align with the sermon. If you have any questions, just ask. We’re here to help.
Common Questions
🙋♀️ Will I be asked to stand or introduce myself?
Nope. We won’t put you on the spot. We want your visit to be enjoyable, peaceful, and pressure-free.
👶 What if my kids make noise?
Children are not just welcome—they're cherished. Their joyful noises remind us that the church is alive and growing. We love having families worship together. A noisy church is a church with a future.
😟 What if I feel out of place?
You won’t. Zion is a mix of people from all walks of life: life-long members, new believers, visitors, and everyone in between. Whether you’ve read the whole Bible or haven't read a whole page, there’s a place for you here.
😬 What if I do something wrong?
You’ll be in good company—we’re all learning and growing. If you were perfect you wouldn’t need to visit us. All of us have felt that way, but you will see the people of Zion are ordinary people just like yourself. Worship materials are printed, on the screens or found in the hymnal, and the person next to you will be happy to help if you’re unsure.
📝 Will I be pressured to sign up or join?
Not at all. We believe participation should be voluntary and Spirit-led. You're welcome to explore, ask questions, and take your time. Sign the 'Guest Register' and let us know if you'd like us to contact you.
💵 Will I be asked to give money?
There is an opportunity to give if you would like too, but at Zion when you visit us you will be our guest. Guests are not expected to contribute to the maintenance of our church. A friend does not ask you to help with the mortgage if you stop in for a visit. Neither do we.
📖 What if I don’t know much about the Bible?
That’s exactly why we’re here, to learn and grow together. You won’t be quizzed or asked to read aloud. You’ll be welcomed, just as you are. If you already knew it all you wouldn’t need to visit us. If you can’t find Habakuk in the Bible, join the club. We are all at different stages of understanding and applying God's Word to our lives. You won't have to answer any questions, and you won’t be asked to look up or read anything from the Bible.
We hope you’ll visit soon.
Until then, feel free to reach out or join us online. We’re saving you a seat.
